Who We Are
Ikaze establishment derived from a long time dream from its owner to run a fully-fledged tourism business entity to employ himself while also availing employment opportunities to many other fellow citizens.
The owner was as well motivated by his own industry experience, having been in tourism and hospitality industry for over five years, working as an office coordinator in a private tour firm, hotel receptionist, destination tour guide and later a tour consultant.
The Rwandan culture advises us to always care for our visitors, ensure they are well treated, therefore guarantying they feel home, obviously far away from their own homes! Ikaze Rwanda simply immerses in that cultural perspective to make any potential guest to Rwanda leaves with a life lasting experience of Remarkable Rwanda and its instinctive hospitality. Our offering portfolio extends well over Remarkable Rwanda to include some of East Africa’s finest tourist destinations such as Masai Mara game reserve in Kenya and Serengeti National park in Tanzania.
The company’s name tells a lot, and actually defines our day-to-day operations: In our local language ‘Kinyarwanda’, Ikaze means ‘Welcome’. This is a frequent and opening word addressed to visitors when coming to our households, workplaces or going a bit further; when welcoming the bride family during our traditional wedding ceremony.

Ndahiro Emmy is an award-winning tour guide with a 3-year working experience. He has been recognised as a Rwandan Specialist in bird watching. When he is not working, Emmy likes to read, work out, camping and hiking. His hobbies are reading, working out, Camping and hiking
Sharif ISHIMWE

Sharif is a 3-star Bronze Driver Guide and licensed by Rwanda Development Board. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Travel and Tourism Management and has been working as a tour guide for 4 years. He’s so engaging with impeccable hospitality and customer care skills. When not on the road, Sharif enjoys listening to music, dancing, swimming and hanging out with friends.

Obed is a member of Rwanda Safaris Guide Association experienced in community-based tourism. He’s fluent in both English and French. His hobbies are traveling, learning new skills, and reading.
