This authentic food immersion is offered in partnership with Nyamirambo Women; a Rwandan NGO launched at the end of 2007 by 18 Rwandese women. Together, they created a project which aimed at addressing Gender-based Violence, Gender inequality and Discrimination. Today, their mission is to provide education and vocational training to women who do not have means to cater for such training, so that they can gain practical skills preparing them for the job market. The cooking class will give you an idea of how staple foods in Rwanda are cooked and you will have the chance to taste and share a meal with your host.

Meet and greet with our driver and guide from your residence hotel and after a short briefing, drive to Nyamirambo; the starting point of your cooking immersion. Upon arrival, be welcomed by your host before heading to the nearby local market. After buying produce and ingredients, head to one of the women’s homes. Get to work at a wooden table in her courtyard, chopping countless vegetables and starting the charcoal stoves.
