Located in south-western Uganda, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is known for its endangered population of Mountain Gorillas. This ancient rainforest is one of the last refuges for these majestic creatures. Gorilla trekking is the primary activity there, allowing visitors to observe Gorilla families in their natural habitat, a deeply moving and unique experience. The park’s diverse flora and fauna, including various species of birds, butterflies and other primates, contribute to its exceptional ecological significance.
