Dian Fossey was an American Primatologist and conservationist; who dedicated her life to the study and protection of Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda. She established the Karisoke Research Center in the Volcanoes National Park and spent several years studying and documenting the behaviour of these endangered creatures. Fossey’s work brought global attention to the plight of Mountain Gorillas and significantly contributed to their conservation efforts.
