Ikaze Rwanda Tours & Travel was founded by a passionate entrepreneur with a long-term dream of running a fully-fledged tourism business entity. The owner was motivated by his own industry experience, having been in the tourism and hospitality industry for over five years. He worked as an office coordinator in a private tour firm, hotel receptionist, destination tour guide, and later a tour consultant.

The Rwandan culture advises us to always care for our visitors, ensuring they are well treated and feel at home, even though they are far away from their own homes. Ikaze Rwanda simply immerses in that cultural perspective to make any potential guest to Rwanda leave with a life-lasting experience of Remarkable Rwanda and its instinctive hospitality. Our product offering portfolio extends well over Remarkable Rwanda to include some of East Africa’s finest tourist destinations such as Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda, Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya and Serengeti National park in Tanzania.

The company’s name says a lot, and actually defines our day-to-day operations: In our local language ‘Kinyarwanda’, Ikaze means ‘Welcome’. This is a frequent and opening word addressed to visitors when coming to our households, workplaces, or going a bit further; when welcoming the bride family during our traditional wedding ceremony.
