Itinerary

Day 1

After an early morning breakfast, take in Rwanda’s beautiful countryside on the drive to Nyungwe National Park. Nyungwe National Park is the first tourist attraction on three-Day Tour – Nyungwe Primates Tour.

Along the way, you’ll stop at local markets, the Ethnographic Museum in Huye and the King’s Palace in Nyanza, where you will meet the famed royal long-horned cows. Enjoy lunch before continuing your journey through green tea fields scattered on the hillsides and past small wooden houses unique to the areas surrounding Nyungwe Forest.

Accommodation: O&O Nyungwe House (Luxury), Nyungwe Top View Hill (Midrange) or Gisakura Guest House.

Day 2

After a leisurely breakfast, leave the lodge for Colobus monkey trekking. Escorted by professional guides, meet the ‘Ruwenzori Colobus’, which can be found in a family of more 400 individuals. Later, return to your hotel for lunch ahead of canopy walkway experience.

Back in the forest, enjoy spectacular views from the canopy walkway – a bridge suspended 70 meters above the rainforest floor – including evergreen mountains and Lake Kivu’s glimmering waters in the distance.

Day 3 : Chimpanzee Trekking – Kigali

As early as 5:00 am, you will leave the resort for a memorable chimpanzee trekking experience. The early start is worth it once you come across these incredible primates enjoying their breakfast. Follow them as they move through the canopy looking for the freshest fruit in Cyamudongo Forest. When the trekking is finished, return to enjoy a delicious lunch at your accommodation before returning to Kigali. Drop-off at the airport and departure from the Three-Day Tour – Nyungwe Primates Tour.
