Kigali Afternoon Hike & Horse Riding Safari

FULL DAY KIGALI AFTERNOON HIKE & HORSE RIDING ITINERARY

Meet with Ikaze Rwanda Tours representative at your pickup location within Kigali or at the airport and start your tour with a less than 20minutes drive to the starting point, at the bottom of Mt.Kigali. After a short briefing from your local guide, there you go, start off the hike! Located at the southwestern edge of the city, the hill stands at over 1,500m above sea level and is; if not, one of the Kigali’s highest hill. The walk departs from Nyamirambo area, narrow roads as you start the hike are nice, with houses on the way up small and charming.

Though the hike isn’t exactly strenuous, beware that any walking in Kigali involves walking up hills, so get prepared! This is a moderate 1-2 hours walk and interesting stroll up to a large area, leading to beautiful views of the city. If you’re new to town and not used to it, be advised that the high elevation will leave you fighting for a breath of air. Your fun afternoon will be capped with a horse-riding exercise before descending back either by driving or walking. As an option, a stroll through the old and Muslim town of Nyamirambo after the hike is a great way to make it into a full afternoon outing.
